About the Hunterdon County Family Success Center

The mission of the Hunterdon County Family Success Center (FSC) is to provide a welcoming environment to strengthen and empower individuals and families through family-centered activities, educational workshops, and access to resources needed to maintain healthy relationships.

To be a safe and welcoming gathering place for all residents of Hunterdon County to discover ways to maintain the integrity of their families.

The FSC strives to be a safe and welcoming neighborhood-based gathering place where any county resident can find family support, information and services, with an emphasis on:

  • maintaining the integrity of the family
  • enriching children’s lives by making families and the community stronger
  • strengthening families and empowering individuals to acquire knowledge and skills to raise healthy and happy children

A Family Success Partner is on staff to work with families to create a Family Success Plan.  The Family Support Partner will assist families in setting goals, concentrating on what is positive in the family unit.  A bi-lingual Family Support Partner is also on staff.

In addition to providing this one-on-one time with families and individuals, the FSC will present workshops throughout the month - please click on Calendar of Events for our full calendar of programs.  Programs scheduled at the FSC have included:

How You Can Help the FSC

The FSC relies on donations and support from the community to assist the families that we serve.

Cash donations are always accepted, in any amount.  However, donations of $100 or more will be added to the “Supporters” plaque proudly displayed in the FSC.

Sometimes, families need specific items that we try to find for them, such as a crib or car seat.  The items that are currently needed are listed above.  We have certain agencies that can help us from time to time with these items, but donations from the community are welcomed and appreciated.

Families who meet with our Family Success Partners are eligible for free diapers and wipes.  We are always in need of these items, especially diapers in sizes 3 and 4.  We don’t get too many donations of baby wipes so we can always use them.

There are other ways to support the FSC other than financial.  The FSC works with community volunteers to help us answer phones and greet families.  The calendar is always full of events, during the day and in the evenings.  Volunteers are always welcome to assist us with set-up, facilitation and clean-up of these events.

Clerical help is always welcome, especially if you are creative and can help design the flyers for our events.

Lastly, but most importantly, the FSC could not run without the support and feedback of our Parent Advisory Board (PAB) members.   Membership in the PAB is on a voluntary basis.  The PAB meets once a month, on the first Thursday of each month, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.  Dinner is provided.  The PAB is instrumental in determining what programs and/or events would best serve our community.

If you would like to donate time or money, please contact the FSC at 908-237-0465.  We hope to meet you soon!
